The holiday season is here and so are the tasty bar menus and glitter decor! This is the perfect holiday list of bars and restaurants to take y’alls out of towner pals too. Hell even if you just need a break from your relatives these are the places to go to!! No one is going to blame you we have all been there. I have listed 5 Places in Austin, TX, 3 Places in Los Angeles, CA & Orange County! I hope you enjoy as much as I did!!
This place is the bee’s knees for holiday cheer, as soon as you stand in line the window display has a leg lap from A Christmas Story! The Christmas fuzzy stomach cold face feeling hits you as your waiting in line that is really long usually only after 9pm. They are open on Christmas day until 2AM and all the way until December 29th !! The drinks here are sweet and ideally very festive, I may say strong! Find anything from a Gingerbread Flip to a Christmas Carol Barrel. The decor here really puts you in a holiday cheer mood so enjoy the line is worth the wait!
The W ATX has decided they are going GRINCH !!! This cute adorable cozy location is perfect place to take your hip family during the holiday weekend. Even a holiday date, if people do that i’m not sure; I believe in a fairy tale Love Actually so take them here!! Any who, no pun intended they have tasty drinks like the Grinch Nog (MUST TRY) they also have a WHO-TINI and a Mount Crumpet that’s very icy.
Hey Girl Hey, looking for an Austin classic Lala’s is a Christmas bar that is open all year round! Yes you heard this right all year round and you won’t run into any crazy downtown traffic which is perfect. They serve all your whistle wetter drinks and they have a Christmas train!!!! I would try Santa’s Irish coffee, your welcome.
I must say I truly am head over heels for Lambert’s holiday decor. It’s dark and red and just the right amount of holiday for me, not overwhelming and they serve brisket!!! I simply cannot complain. Nothing out of the ordinary here just great mashed potatoes and good cocktails. They have the Rosumari Sour which is a fun whiskey sour. Also they have a spectacular desert wine menu. A must for mellow Christmas drinks and a meal..
What can I say about this place besides your on Rainey street and they have super sweet bartenders. They also let me pose on there bar (HUGE!!!) no problem and they have super good holiday cocktails. This is definitely a place to go to have fun, trying to get away from a boring night need adventure with family and friends go here.
Located in the heart of down town long beach this place is perfect for dinner and drinks! The decor is dark and holiday appropriate if you are having dinner (sexy almost). Upstairs is a great ambiance with live music on the weekends. Bartenders are experimental which is perfect! Must try.
Whiskey lovers must go here, if your visiting LA or live here and want to see some twinkly lights as you sip on a cocktail. Seven Grand is definitely the place to go, I must say South Paw is by far my fave here. Anywho, have a drink look up and smile. Also my ATX fam they have a location in Austin as well!!!! Bonus win!!! Merry Christmas!!
The bar that rules them all, the bar that taught me how to drink bourbon with the tart, savory, cup licking baby’s first bourbon (we’ve all had that drink) . I promise a good time at this place everything one drinks will have everyone dancing to the tunes that the dj spins. Oh boy, do they spin the tracks that get your feet thumping, stay a little while this is definitely the bar people stay at until the last song ends. Make your own luck, go on a Saturday night where the burlesque dancers get everyone pumped for the night, and the dj takes over an keeps you moving. December is special at Harvard and Stone as they know how to go all out for the holidays! Don’t shop up in shorts or shinny dresses it’s not that place. Let loose and stay cool, drink right with your family and friends head to Harvard & Stone!!
I hope that my list helps everyone!!! Please drop a line on your favorite holiday bar, let me know if you check any of these rad places out!! Enjoy Merry Christmas you filthy animal and a Happy New Year
